What are your rates for outreach programs?
Cost is per hour: $150 for the first hour, $125 for each consecutive hour thereafter on the same day. The minimum purchase is 1 hour. Tax and transportation fee not included. A material fee of $25 is added per class for lab classes.
How many students can you accomodate?
Outreach programs can be requested for any minimum group size up to 250 students. Due to the hands-on nature of the program, we recommend a maximum group size of 20-25 students (one class) per time slot.

For what grade levels do you offer group programs?
We offer outreach programs for students in pre-school (2-3 yrs) up till 12th grade. Don't know which program is best for your students? Please fill out a reservation request below and allow us to pick the best program for you.
What is included in an outreach program?
All LAMC programs are hands-on, interactive, and fully guided programs. Outreach programs typically involve a grade appropriate learning topic, touching live animals, and a Gyotaku fish printing.
What is a lab or dissection outreach program?
For grades 3 and up, our staff can host a dissection (fish or squid) or experiment based water lab. Unless requested, touching live animals and gyotaku printing is not included.
How long are outreach programs?
Outreach programs are 1 hour per class. For a shorter 30 minute activity-only program we recommend booking a Basic Outreach Program.
What if I have more than one class?
Outreach programs can be booked for several hours back to back. Each additional hour after the first is $125 flat rate.
How much is an outreach program per student?
Outreach program price is based on time: $150 for the first hour and $125 for each hour thereafter. Based on average class sizes, this comes down to $4 to $6 per student.
How much is the Gyotaku T-shirt printing?
White t-shirts with the LAMC logo are available for groups for $5.95 per shirt (reg. $10.00). Available sizes are youth xs-l and adult s-xxl. Any sales of t-shirts will directly support the continuation of our education programs. Mahalo!

What if I have multiple grade levels?
You may request an outreach program with a different topic for each hour session.
